There is an abundance of accommodation options on Koh Samui in Thailand. They range from the semi cheap at about 500 Baht per night upwards to 10000 Baht per night. Tango Beach Resort on Chaweng Beach was towards the more reasonable end of that range and cost just over 2000 Baht per night and was worth every Baht!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Tango Beach Resort. The room was lovely – had a very comfortable bed, mood lighting, really dark curtains so we could sleep in, hot water machine, coffee pot for making free coffee, cheap mini bar, a chaise lounge to lay around on, a massive bathroom with an equally pretty purple shower room – everything you could want in a hotel room!
Tango Beach Resort Pool Area
When we did venture outside our bedroom, we were not disappointed with what Tango had to offer us. We were able to use a small but useful gymnasium, swim in a well-kept clean pool, eat and drink at their restaurant that is right at the beachfront, and of course, be massaged by their own massage team in a hut on the waters edge.
The wifi/Internet was pretty good. We had the occasional shaky connection from inside our room but generally it worked pretty well. From the table and chairs immediately outside our room it was rock solid.

Special mention goes to Tango’s breakfast buffet. Every morning, we sat down to a delicious spread of food. There is a chef who will cook your eggs any way you like plus real bacon, sausages, various types of bread to toast, a number of cereals, fresh fruit and vegetables, and savoury meal options like mashed potatoes and other vegetable dishes. Our breakfasts have never been the same again.
The location of Tango Beach Resort is north of the main Chaweng Beach area. We found the location really good as it meant that we could go and party in the party zone but then casually walk back along the beach around 15 minutes to our lovely secluded little haven. Its also right on the beach so even if you’re right at the back of Tango you’re still only maybe 200 metres from the ocean.
